First of all, to wrap things up, this week is the last full week of tax season. I am kind of sad it is coming to an end. I enjoy preparing taxes! Here lately, I have done several other "wrapping up" things such as...moving from the "winter" cabin to Steve and Bonnie's cabin and getting ready to take a class at Northwest Tech (for my CNA). My class doesn't start until the 16th of May, but I like being prepared. In the next couple of weeks, when I am not going to church and working at Havenwood, I will be helping Steve and Bonnie on their farm. I am also looking forward to nicer weather, so I can get out more. I am trying to lose some weight (maybe 20 to 30 lbs), so any exercise I get will be essential in reaching my goal!
God will make a way...

Things I have learned in the last year...
Here are some things I have learned about myself and others in the last year:
1. Communication is key in any relationship!
2. You have to forgive yourself and others!
3. You have to love yourself in order for others to love you!
4. Family and friends will be there to support you if you ask for help! The key is to ASK!
5. Don't take advantage of people when they are offering help!
6. It's easier to forgive than forget! But don't dwell on what you can't change!
7. Money isn't everything, but it is good to use it wisely, and not spend it frivolously!
8. The devil will try to tell you things that aren't true about yourself and tempt you to do things that you know aren't right!
9. It's ok to cry...It releases bad toxins in your body!

What's in a name? Part 2
Like I said in my last post, I would tell you of how my sister got her name. My dad's name is John and my mom's name is Tonia. They used their 2 names to come up with my sister's name - Jonaia. Using the equivalent "Jon" from "Jonathan", an "a" for "and", and then using the last 2 letters of my mom's name "ia", my parents came up with "Jonaia". Her middle name is after my dad's grandma, Elda Rosa Roth. "Rose" sounded better to them than "Rosa". It was quite interesting that they named her "Jonaia Rose" and she was born on Valentine's Day. She now has a daughter of her own, Cheyanne Maria, and lives with my mom in MA.

What's in a name? Part 1
A lot of people ask me to either repeat my name or spell it or ask me how I got my name. I decided to write a blog about it. My mom and dad used 2 names to come up with my name--Irinda and Dee Anne. There was an Irinda that lived to be a couple months old (back in the 1860's). She either died of smallpox or another disease of that time. I can't remember what I was told she died of. She was a decendant on my mom's side of the family. The other half of my name came from my dad's side of the family. Anne is my aunt's name, and my dad has 2 cousins named Dee Anne. Using these 2 names, that is how I got my name Irindee Anne. My sister's name is also unique. Her name is Jonaia Rose and she was born on Valentine's Day. My mom and dad came up with her name in a unique way also. I will blog about how she got her name at a later date.
